If not, and if you follow their directions regarding erasing your old version before installing the new one, then you are locked out of Fullwrite, and of course, all your Fullwrite documents. I don't mind having to verify my serial number, but (a) they didn't take the time to print it anywhere on their letter to me, a registered user (instead, just "Serial Number on file"), and (b) they didn't warn me that I was going to need it in order to update it.
