Summary: Can I use a scsi cartridge drive on macs and suns? Keywords: SCSI, Sun, Tape cartridges Message-ID: <24660@lll-winken.LLNL.GOV> Date: 4 May 89 16:29:09 GMT References: <5517@brunix.UUCP> Sender: usenet@lll-winken.LLNL.GOV Reply-To: longstaf@frostedflakes.llnl.gov (Thomas A. Longstaff) Organization: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Lines: 19 I have heard rumors that the Sun scsi disks are compatible with mac machines. This starts an interesting line of thought for me. Are the scsi *tape cartridge* drives for Sun compatible with macs? Perhaps with some arcane init? As we have a lot of Suns and macs here, it would go a long way in finding an inexpensive solution to mac-backup. It would be esp. nice to be able to use something like diskfit with the sun cartridges. Anyone out there doing this?
