I'll be moving my office to another building, so I'm exploring options for obtaining postscript output. One of the options is to use a printer that is currently serving a network of Sun 3 and Sun 388i systems. Is there a way in which postscript output generated on a Mac II can be "automatically" printed on a postscript printer connected to a Sun network to which the Mac is connected via Ethernet? I don't use down loaded fonts; I believe all of the fonts that I use are already defined in the printer. TOPS and TOPS Spool is currently installed on the Mac; the Suns are using NFS. What I'd like is for output spooled on my Mac to be transferred into the spool queue on the Sun network without my having to do anything on the Mac (other than set up the initial configuration or, perhaps, run a program when restarting the Mac). Please mail or post as appropriate.
