I just shove in the disk, wait a few seconds for the Mac to write a directory for the Finder on the disk, and voila - there's the disk, on the desktop like any Mac disk. I've not seen the PLI drive. It would appear to be cheaper, but I don't know if it works as seamlessly as the Dayna File. (Note: Dayna's "Fast Format" is the same as Apple's SuperDrive format, so the 3.5" drive will read both MS-DOS formats - 720K and 1.44meg - as well as the high density Mac disks).
