Subject: Why doesn't HyperCard dial?

I was trying to get HC to dial my phone the other day (as it is reputed to be
able to do), and it did NOTHING!  I held my telephone receiver up to the
speaker, and had HC dial a number.  Now it did break the dial tone on the line
(so that instead of the continuous ready to dial tone on the line, I had just
dead air).  But it never dialed the number so that I heard it ringing.  WHy is
this?  I thought that this was supposed to be one of the neat features of HC
and the Mac.
