I would appreciate it if anyone could explain the following error: While
making changes to a hypercard script, an error message

              "Unexpected error 1883" with a "Sorry" button

appears and hypercard aborts.

Now when I try to open this stack the same message comes up and hypercard
aborts. What is going on, and more importantly, how can I recover my stack?

I am running this on a mac II with 5 megs.
