I am generating large pixel maps on a non-Macintosh computer (a microVAX)
and wish to convert this pixel map file to a file in PICT format.  This
conversion must ocurr on the non-Macintosh computer.  In essence, I
want to replicate what PackBits() does but I want it on a microVAX.
Does any one have any routines written in C that could help write me
this program?  Sample programs or code fragments would be useful.
