It's what lawyers call pro buono (sp?) work. I try not to let updates to the mailing list go longer than 3-4 weeks. Generally I try to make a point of looking at the request mail once a week. If you have specific individuals and their addresses who either want to get on or get off the mailing list, please feel free to forward that information to the info-iris-request@brl.mil address. Many times, the problems are not with info-iris but rather at some local mail redistribution list at a local site. Other times, folks are not added because a reply to their message resulted in an invalid mailing address and the mail could not be delivered. I really do look at the mail, even the hundreds of failed mail messages from hosts that are no longer connected, or have dying mailers, or have had their hostnames changed by the domain system, etc... To summarize, send your request for address changes to: info-iris-request@brl.mil Thanks! -Chuck Kennedy
