We have a number of Sun 3s with the notorius Philips monitors. The common problem we have been experiencing with the monitors is a heating (causing melting of the soldered connection and blacking of the plastic connector) of pin 7 of J202 and P202. I am requesting answers for a couple of questions; 1) Has anyone had this problem or one of a similar nature and could they give me some idea of what causes it? 2) Where can I find replacement molex connectors, including the plastic shrouds and the crimp-on connector, for these monitors. note: I've found dealers who will sell us minimum amounts of 1000 or so, which is about 980 too many for our purpose. My email address is , I will put a summary of the responses on sun-spots. Thank you.
