Is this the Bind distribution that has been around since pre-4.0 times?
Has the problem with yp hanging been fixed yet?  (That is, if the
nameserver is disabled for some reason, like the loss of a gateway, yp
requests to the resolver do not time out, but slowly accumulate.  I heard
somewhere that it would not be fixed until 4.1 or later.)

[[ How could it have been around since pre-4.0 times if it contains an
executable that runs under 4.0?  The README says "compiled by Bill
Nowicki, December 1988".  It is based on Bind 4.8.  Sounds pretty recent
