For the application I'm developing, I need to instantiate an
asciiDiskWidget prior to the time when the file it will be using has any
contents (the file does exist on disk), but before the widget
is mapped.  I then fill the file, and map the asciiDiskWidget - but the
widget shows no file contents, even tho the file does contain text.

What must I do to cause the widget to 'pay attention' to the contents of the
file?  Is this a general problem - does the asciiDiskWidget alway ignore
file content added to the file since the widget was instantiated?
