Agreed. I wasn't really trying to imply otherwise. X has chosen one, the Amiga has chosen another. I don't think there are cut-and-dried arguments on either side. The Amiga deals with this problem with what are called 'alerts'. An alert is implemented with a small dedicated bitmap, just big enough to allow the system to open a standard sized 'window' and ask a yes/no question.
