I would like to get any information available on proposed file formats for
Ximages.  If none exists, is there an estimate of when a specification might
be developed?

I'm also interested in pointers to existing code to convert Ximages for
display on servers with different capibilities (e.g. 24 bit, 8 bit, 1 bit)
and conversion from "standard" and vendors formats to Ximage formats.
