(No flames about X11 please, if I had time I'd convert...)

I have an application that occasionally crashes X10R4 on a sun console,
leaving the console in a state where it recognises no keyboard input
until I reboot (L1-a). I seem to remember a way out posted a couple of
years ago, but I've lost it. Can any one help?  As X10 is obselete,
email would probably be better than posting.
