I have obtained the elisp manual of 1 April 1989 and tried printing it out.
I get thousands of errors. I can print the GNU Emacs manual out
without any trouble.  
The kinds of errors I get are @ref undefined, Undefined control
sequence: \Arrow, etc.

Any ideas?
