Texas CS Dept., Austin, Texas Lines: 18 We are trying to install gnu.g++ on a Sun 3/280 running SunOs 4.0.1. We got gnu.gcc 1.3.5 and gnu.g++ 1.34.2 from some Utexas machines, and from prep.ai.mit. We also have the gnu.lib.g++ version 1.35.0. Unfortunately, the thing doesn't want to install; the shell scripts that come with the installation tar files, and the Makefiles as well, seem to expect a directory structure that is not created when the files are untarred. Has anyone else had lots of trouble getting this installation to work? We are at wits end and would appreciate any help you can lend. Please mail responses directly to either kam@titan.tsd.arlut.utexas.edu or to lofaso@titan.tsd.arlut.utexas.edu. Thanks in advance :-) Katherine Minister kam@titan.tsd.arlut.utexas.edu
