I only ask this because I used to not have much problems leaving space in my spool directory with a 3-day expiration, but now, with a one-day- since-arrival expiration (a stop gap measure until I can change the size of the spool partition), I run out of room almost daily! We do not get talk or alt and this is a 45 Mb partition! I have noticed a number of duplicates floating through here. I thought that the news software was supposed to take care of that. We do keep the database info here for sometime (21 days I think I specify on expire), but I have noticed a number of back-to-back duplicates. Can someone give me a clue as to how I can track down where the problem is? Are there problems others know about? If I reconfigure this disk, I can change the partition size to 60Mb and still leave room for real work. Besides the short expiration times (which I would rather have at 3 days), is there something else I can do? Help!!! -- scott barman {gatech, emory}!dtscp1!scott
