I am posting this in hopes that there are some folks out there in netland
that have experience or know somebody with experience with the
Altos cs 68000.
  
Brief description:
 
680000 mpu, 4 MMU's (MC68451 L8)
1 x 8.5 inch floppy
1 x Quantum 2040 8-inch 40MB h.D. (SASI interface)
1 x ???? (1/4 incg by the looks)  tape backup unit
16 ports
 
MONSTER cabinet housing . (Mostly empty with "SHasta" printed on bottom
front)
 
The unit is not working (wiill not boot) ...I am prepared to fix and repair
to component level as required. I understand it is running Xenix 3.0
I also understand I could be wasting my time with an ALTOS machine...but when
someone *GIVES* a computer to me, I will do my  wonderful best to get it going
and make itself useful.
 
If you're reading this and saying, "yeah I know about that pieces of
[expletive deleted], I would appreciate *anything* you could tell me about
this machine. 
 
I'm currently without a computer again (This is like atilla the hun without
followers) and am DYING a slow and agonizing death without something to
program.....therefore I *WILL* get this thing running.
