Is there a way to turn it off? I presume that it is produced by "smgr"; I would love to stop using smgr and run cron instead, however I would like to retain the date display at the top of the screen. Is it possible (and has anybody done so) to write a program just to display and regularly update the clock display, while using cron instead of smgr? Thanks in advance for your advice.
