The basic difference between Reflex and dbase IV (in my opinion) is the user in

  Reflex is a user friendly - almost entirely menu-driven system.  You can
be up and running - entering data - within an hour.  dbase IV, on the
oother hand, takes some study.  In essense, with dbase IV, you are learning
a language.
  Reflex is a great, quick way to save, store and retrieve information
and statistics.  It's report generator is extremely versatile.
  dbase IV, however, gives you the power of a larger system with integrated
multiple databases.
  - Summary:  It depends on your needs.  Massive size indicates dbase IV -
with the addition of Clipper Autumn 87 or QuickSilver as a compiler,
dbase IV becomes a montstrous, fast moving EXecutable program - and just
yours - custom built.  But it takes time and study.
  - Summary:  Reflex is a fast, ready to go medium sized data base that's
