I need some information on text-based databases.  The application is
basically a bulletin board system with some enhancements (such as
storing all messages on-line for use as references in solving technical
problems).  I've looked at the major RDBMS's (i.e. Oracle, Informix, 
etc.), but I'm concerned about performance with all that text.  
Basically what I'm looking for are names and impressions of any 
text-based databases.  If there is enough interest, I will post a 
summary to comp.databases.
