Every now and then I have heard rumors (or something) about a version of the 3Com networking software (not 3+Open) which will use TCP/IP protocols and not XNS. Anyone heard anything (3Com, are you listening :-) )? We started with 3Com when they were the only alternative to network Macs and PCs together, but now need to talk to machines which speak TCP/IP. We've heard about WIN/ROUTE and all from Wollongong, but these solutions require a dedicated PC as a gateway. What we really want is simply the current software with TCP/IP instead of XNS. Packet drivers cost memory, which is already in rather short supply on a standard DOS machine. Thanks for any information. -- Matthew Lewis, University of Amsterdam Grote Bickersstraat 72 31-20-52 51 220 1013 KS Amsterdam UUCP: uvabick!matthew@hp4nl.nluug.nl The Netherlands BITNET: a717matt@hasara11 CIS: [73717,3711]
