I could have really cared less WHERE he directed followups to, but they certainly do NOT belong in comp.lang.c. The economy of Japan, America, Great Britain, etc. ad nauseum, although interesting, has NOTHING to do with the C language. If I am thinking correctly, comp.lang.c stands for discussions/questions/etc on the C programming language, not on economics lessons.
