I understand that all prototyping at Microsoft is done in a 
structured BASIC that is private to them. There has been a real
growth (resurgance?) of BASIC as a result of the facilities and
structure available in the "New Basics."  I'll get references
on this subject if anyone is interested. (Personally, I'd have
a hard time going back to Pascal, let alone BASIC, but then I'm
doing more textual writing than programming these days. -ben
