I mean, there are certain questions that have to be asked, and based on those questions, certain fields have to be modified, right? Where does one start? For my own circumstances, I have the following restraints: 1. The system in question is using Ultrix 2.3 . 2. It is a commercial site which does not want to add things like pathalias, smail, etc. It just wants to get its current sendmail situation in hand. 3. I could describe the networking set up, but would prefer not to do so in this forum - if there is a cookbook approach that would work out great - if not, perhaps in private email. 4. The goal is to get mail coming in and out into a RFC compliant format as much as can be done. Is this so unusual? Is there a book, etc. that I am missing to get this done? I have read a lot of man pages, etc. but have no clear idea exactly how to go about making changes that work - since this is an existing system attempting to continue business, mistakes could be costly. -- Larry W.
