We are working to implement sendmail on an etherogeneus network which
includes UNIX AT&T System V ver. 3.0 , BSD 4.2 and a couple of VAX VMS
machines .
The net is based on TCP-IP services .
We encounter some difficulties tryng to compile the available sendmail
software ( ver 5.59 ) .
Can anybody advise us on a more recent version compatible vith AT&T
System V and DEC-VMS ?

We had posted this a while ago and we got only one answer , the one
that follow , I am sure there is something better around there .
( I hope to find a porting of IDA-Sendmail .... but I usually am not so 
lucky )

The place is ucsd.edu (128.54.16.1 ) , the file is pub/sendmail.cpio.Z
the way to reach it is by anonymous ftp . That porting is for an at&t
3b2 running sys v r3.1 and using a win/3b from the wollongong group .
