Apparently it is possible to combine (1) an appropriate version of NetWare, (2) FTP Software's TCP/IP, and (3) any Ethernet card driver meeting the "Packet Driver" spec, to get the functionality you're interested in. It seems non-trivial, though, so we decided not to try to do it ourselves. After looking at the options you mention above, we settled on a canned package from SyTek which supplies all three of the above mentioned elements. We've been using this package on several machines for a while now, and are pretty happy with it. The main drawback is that it only works with SyTek's Ethernet card -- fortunately, this card isn't much more expensive than most of its competitors'...
