I'm looking for some shell scripts and short C programs that will
benchmark various aspects of UNIX V. Routines that will exercise
various UNIX utilities and display the results.

I have a number of them already but am looking for better or more 
thorough tests. I am especially looking for routines that simulate
multiple user load on a system or to check the robustness of the OS.

Thanks in advance. The results are to be published in an upcoming 
magazine article on 386 based UNIX ports.
