In respnse to Tom Claydon's [Bitnet astlc@alaska.bitnet] question, I have the CLtd A500 controller (the old non-autoboot one) and am generally pleased with it. There are some problems with the latest version of their SCSIdos 3.0 -- the low level format programs will NOT work with the A500 controller, which requires going back to SCSIdos 2.6 for low level formats. 3.0 operates fine, you just can't do LLF's. Diskperf gives me 160k reads and 65k writes -- on a slow 65ms Seagate -- satisfyingly faster than floppies. Josh Rovero Internet: PRovero@wsmr-simtel20.army.mil Packet radio: KK1D@WD4MIZ -------
