Agreed, and the turnaround time is better than submitting it to the moderator for posting to the sources group (turnaround time is currently 7-10 days). However, USENET discussions are fleeting things; no more than two weeks after you post your small code somebody will post a message looking for something that does just what it did. When you send to the moderator, copies are archived "forever" in many different archives spanning this great world of ours, and people can be instructed to search there. So, for lasting memories, use Kodak film and the moderated groups. For large code postings, you don't even want to think about posting to the discussion group unless you like hate mail. Oh, for those of you who use the kilowatt archive server - make sure you add a "path" line to your mail message, and make sure the address is relative to a known "domain" site (such as uunet.uu.net). Saying "path host!user" or "path user@host.uucp" isn't good enough. Poor Raz is going nutty dealing with the bazillions of bounced messages he's getting. ..bob
