   I would like to hear from any ST296N owners. (or any ST???N for that
 matter). I seem to have a problem with mine. When I power it up it goes
 through it's self check and then the LED blinks 8 times (which I think
 means failure to read disk's OS from the drive). Is this as bad as I think
 it is? (ie it will have to be replaced?).
   I would also be interested in knowing what type of controller people
 are using with the 296N. And if possible what numbers you are getting
 from diskperf. I will summerize the results.
