My network has only 20 nodes (running SR9.7 and SR10.1), but we occasionally get in a situation where so many nodes are trying to acess the /usr/spool/mqueue directory that the directory itself becomes locked up -- which then causes the sendmail daemons to go wild with repeated trys to access the directory.
