Again, I tend to Technically, in terms of media differences, hard drive owners wouldn't be breaking the law, since both floppy disks and hard disks operate on the same principle: a magnetic disk. This is not to say that they're identical, since hard disk platters are rigid, of higher quality and are more sensitive manetically than their floppy counterparts, but they are still magnetic disks rotating next to a read/write head.
