I have seen notes on ALPE that indicate that at least one of these liberated versions appeared on a local BBS to be downloaded (no, I dont know the #). The Apple Development team responded quite quickly in noting that the version at the show has some known problems and should NOT be placed on a hard disk due to the potential of data loss. I have contacts who have seen one of the liberated versions and it indeed has areas which are not as solid as one might wish. The version that they saw had a few pieces missing as well. But they were quite impressed at watching quickdraw open and close windows, scroll text, etc. What has to be done to a font to make it a fastfont? -- Larry W.
