Even though alot of programs will run on both machines (if they claim that) most commercial programs require at least 64K, the basic II+ only came with 48K. There are all kinds of upgrades to be had but you need to read the software packages carefully, those that require double hi resolution will not run the the II+ regardless of the amount of memory you have.
