I'm only keeping the 128 at the moment because I need touse it to call vax1 from home. I have a number of files for The Write Stuff (128 version) that I'd like to hold on to (stories & papers I've written, etc.) when I upgrade. First question: is there any relatively easy way to translate those files into standard ascii so I can transfer them to the ami? Even better (here comes question # 2): I'd like to upload 'em to the vax to laser-print'em. I've never had ANY luck up/downloading text OR binary with kermit. What settings do I need to change on either my system or the vax's C-kermit to finally get this to work? (A friend of mine & I tried several protocols with his amiga, and none of them worked, either....any insights on this?). If worst comes to worst, I can call in using a plain ascii term prog and xmodem it, but I'd like to use kermit's petscii-ascii transfer mode to simplify making the things readable on the unix system.
