1.  (problems with stopped X jobs; suspect "stty -tostop" is broken).
   
    No responses (any ideas?).

I get complaints that some jobs have been stopped, but they still seem
to run OK whether or not stty -tostop is used.  I dunno what the problem
is...  does anyone out there in netland know?

Perhaps I ought to learn to use ksh instead!!!
