I obtained some surplus Xebec hard disk controllers recently which 
control drives with the Shugart interface and connect to GPIB systems.
Unfortunately, they did not come with any documentation.

Calling Xebec in Santa Clara, CA and Carson City, NV produced no results,
since they are out of the disk controller business and did not bother to
keep any material on their old products. Tech support in Carson City
suggested that they are OEM proudcts, possibly produced for HP. 

I want to use these boards with the hardware I have: an HP150 and some old
SHugart drives I have laying around gathering dust, rather than having to 
buy a new HP hard drive for $nnn+.    

Is there someone who knows where docs and technical info exists for these
things?

Here is some info from the boards:

 PWB Ass'y 104506 rev. 07 04
 The labels on the EPROM & 8748mcu are numbered 104511-B
 A big black epoxy rectangle has a label reading "9056-Rev. 04 
                                                    30-84
                                                  (pat. pending)"
