The cable that I have used from the Multiplexer to the modem has the following pin outs. 1 ----------- 1 2 ----------- 3 3 ----------- 2 4 ----------- 5 5 ----------- 4 20 ----------- 6 6 ----------- 20 also tried the cable as suggested in the HP Multiplexer manual. i.e. 1 ------------ 1 2 ------------ 3 3 ------------ 2 4 ------------ 8 6 ------------ 20 7 ------------ 7 8 ------------ 4 9 ------------ 22 20 ------------ 6 22 ------------ 5 23 ------------ 23 But none of them worked. Is the multiplexer a DTE or DCE ? From the wiring, I would assume it is a DCE, am I right ?? Any help would be much appreciated. Boon
