Message-ID: <8905121637.AA18299@jade.berkeley.edu> Date: 12 May 89 16:23:00 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: University of Louisville Lines: 26 Not one to do any "Rahul-Bashing" but I think that he needs to do something about the "moderation" of comp.binaries.ibm.pc. It seems that I am not the only one who is less than satisfied with his performance lately, and instead of bitching about it I propose that some of the other BITNET sites become additional moderation sites. Granted, I am a complete novice when it comes to BITNET stuff, but it seems that the only way to alleviate the posting of programs to comp.sys.ibm.pc is to split up the workload. Basically, my suggestion is to add moderators in various catagories: games graphic programs (GIF and the like) documents (very general; needs to be more defined) utilities (general; could be split up even more) source code (pascal,C, etc.) I'm not a mind-reader here, but it seems people are posting programs to comp.sys.ibm.pc because they don't see them in the binaries group. Come on guys! Rahul can't do it all at by himself. If anyone out there has any opinion on this subject at all, send me mail. I will try and keep track of the response, and publish the results. Add more moderators? Yes or no JDYARD01@ULKYVX.BITNET
