Keywords: 1-2-3, symphony, passwordS Message-ID: <1865@husc6.harvard.edu> Date: 18 May 89 17:19:18 GMT References: <4220@crash.cts.com> Sender: news@husc6.harvard.edu Reply-To: netguest@husc4.UUCP (Network Guest) Organization: Harvard University Science Center, Cambridge MA Lines: 13 Symphony has a password protection feature for spreadsheets; this is mentioned but not fully documented in their file format book. We have a spreadsheet with a forgotten password ... Does anyone know: 1) How does the encryption encrypt the data in the remaining file. 2) How the password is encoded into the password record 3) Whether (and how) the password encoding and/or the data encryption are invertible? Thanks, Jeff Rottman
