I couldn't believe this at first, since I had just read that you can use
the control key. So I jumped out of read news and tried it. I could assign
control + a function key but not control plus an alpha key.

While we're looking for solutions for our favorite key commands, has anyone
figured out how to get out of print preview with a key? You used to be able
to toggle out with the same key that put you in that mode. Now, it looks 
like the only way out is to click Cancel. This seems very unlike Microsoft,
to require the mouse. I used to get out with 5 on the keypad. That key
has no assignment now.

In the case of print preview, you can't even build a macro or a Quickey
because you can't do anything else in print preview. I'd call this a 
slip-up that wasn't intended.
