I often start a new file and, when it comes time to Save, rather than select a folder in the popup menu, I type something like HD:texts:notes:thisfile to give a path to the folder and filename I want. This part works. The trouble is, as I type and hit command-S, a few saves work, and then I get an error message: "COuld not save to named file. Please rename." or words to that effect. Since I don't think I get this problem w/ Excel or MacDrawII, I suspect it's Word3 getting confused.
