I tried to send the following program directly to my 
LaserWriter IInt to defeat the test page:

serverdict begin 0 exitserver
statusdict begin
dostartpage false
end

I used VersaTerm to send out the printer port, and entered executive
to get the LaserWriter's attention.  Then I entered the program
interactively.  When I entered the exitserver command, the LW responded
with a message that permanent changes may be made (which I wanted to do)
but when I hit the end of the program, the LW said it was flushing to
end-of-file and hung until I restarted it.  How do I program interactively
on the LW?
