However, as was pointed out at the conference, not only will the writing of third party print drivers be supported but the development time should be greatly reduced. I believe they gave times in hours and days (rather than months and years). I think the Printshop mentioned an in-house record of developing a prototype driver for the new architecture of 30 minutes (yes, minutes). Of course, your mileage may vary.
