I got a lot of new software, 5 disks full, from various bulletin boards and during the course of testing them all out my date got reset to 2/20/20. No problem I figured and went to the control panel to change it back to 5/14/89.No such luck. It wouldn't let me change the year or month and I could only change the day +/- about 10 days. Must be the PRAM or something i figured, so i reset that with the special key combination. No such luck. Must be a conflicting init, so I moved them all out of the system folder and rebooted and tried to change the date. No such luck. Must be a virus, said I. Ran Disinfectant and Virus R/X. No suck luck. Then I booted from a floppy and voila! I was allowed to change the date. Question: What the f$%k happened? (Running 6.0.2 and many inits, cdevs, etc.) Michael O'Rourke.
