Subject: I can't get the screen to update

Obviously I'm new to this so please bear with me.
I have this really short and moderately simple program.
It creates one window and puts a backround in it.
There are then several dialog boxes and then I wait for mouse down (button).
I can't get the window to update after all of the dialogs no matter what
I do.  ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, I'm writing the program in Lightspeed Pascal 2.0.
