Keywords: symbolic processing, RISC, Lisp, Berkeley, parallel processing Message-ID: <8520@ihlpf.ATT.COM> Date: 17 May 89 16:06:41 GMT Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories - Naperville, Illinois Lines: 17 Sorry if this posting isn't entirely appropriate for all three newsgroups... The November 1986 issue of "Computer" contained an article describing the Symbolic Processing Using RISCs (SPUR) architecture being researched at UC-Berkeley. The SPUR instruction set was basically RISCy but contained some Lisp (e.g., tagging) and floating-point support. I haven't seen or heard much more about SPUR since that article. Anyone have any more recent information? Lawrence G. Mayka AT&T Bell Laboratories lgm@ihlpf.att.com Standard disclaimer.
