Keywords: Hardware Message-ID: <817@maths.tcd.ie> Date: 14 May 89 12:10:41 GMT Sender: usenet@rice.edu Organization: Maths Dept., Trinity College, Dublin Lines: 15 Approved: Sun-Spots@rice.edu X-Sun-Spots-Digest: Volume 7, Issue 297, message 13 of 18 Does anyone know whether the SCSI interface on the 3/80 is compatible with the one on the 3/50 and 3/60? We already have a 3/50 with a 3rd party SCSI disk attached (Wren-IV), and would like to do the same with the 3/80. Also, Is the interface on the 3/80 sync or async SCSI? Does the 3/80 have the same SCSI connector as the 3/50 (i.e. 50-pin D-type connector), and is it wired the same way? Will the OS support other peoples drives, as on the 3/50? Any stories about connecting 3rd party drives to the 3/80 would be very useful. Alan Judge, SysAdmin, Dept. of Maths, Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. ajudge@maths.tcd.ie
