CORRECTION TO LAST POST:

I have several tk50's from the DECUS library whose format is VMS backup.
My system is a MicroVAX II running Ultrix 3.0 and I would like to extract
the files on these tapes to the MicroVAX.  Here is what is happining:

It only takes a few seconds for the 3 lines of output so I know that
it is not "End of tape"

Does anyone have any ideas OR another utility other than vmsbackup?
